The Realistic and Practical PDA Programme

Parenting a PDA child isn’t the same as parenting a neurotypical child. What looks like refusal or “defiance” is usually anxiety in disguise.

Many parents feel stuck in daily battles, exhausted by meltdowns, worried about school refusal and misunderstood by services. You may feel overwhelmed, unsure how to help your child feel safe, or simply alone.

None of this means you’re failing.
Your child is communicating distress, they are overwhelmed, not disobedient.

What you need isn’t stricter discipline, but a PDA specific approach that reduces anxiety, builds connection and restores harmony at home.

Introducing The PDA Family Pathway

A live, guided, 5 week programme for parents of PDA children and young people.

There are two age-specific groups so every family gets support tailored to their child’s stage of development:
Preschool & Primary: Ages 3 to 11
Teens & Young Adults: Ages 12 to 18

Every session is live, practical and rooted in lived experience, gentle strategies and proven PDA-affirming methods. You have a choice of 2 times on one set day each week

Plus, each registrant gets a free 30-minute 1-1 consultation to ask specific questions and get specific advice so there are no gaps in progress.

For Parents of Children between ages 4-11

Typically children of Primary/Elementary age, including those being educated other than at school.

For Parents of Children between ages 12-18

What You and Your Family Gain – By the end of the 5 weeks, parents consistently report a calmer home with fewer meltdowns and smoother routines, along with a deeper, more trusting connection with their child. They gain clear strategies that reduce anxiety, confidence in communicating with schools or colleges, and a stronger understanding of PDA through a neuroaffirming lens. Parents also leave with a realistic, personalised family plan that supports calmer days, long-term progress and stronger relationships.

Why and How This Programme Was Created For You

"I created The PDA Family Pathway because I live and breathe this world every day. I am autistic, ADHD and PDA, a former social worker, and the parent of an autistic, ADHD and PDA child. Supporting neurodivergent families is not just my work, it is my life.

Over the years, I have helped thousands of families reduce conflict, rebuild trust, communicate more clearly and achieve better learning and life outcomes. I have seen children return to education, re-engage with the world and feel safer at home once their parents finally had the right tools.

Most advice on PDA is either unrealistic or focused on conceding rather than genuinely collaborating. Families deserve guidance that is clear, compassionate and actually works.

This programme was shaped with input from PDA young people, including those who are now adults, to reflect what truly helps and what does not. With the combination of group learning and your private one-to-one session with me, you will gain practical strategies, renewed confidence and a deeper connection with your child.

I look forward to supporting you".
